Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the working rate of the processors of parallel computers by dynamically distributing the loads of a retrieval processing. CONSTITUTION:A function and the various kinds of parameters, etc., are inputted from an input means 1, the various kinds of the parameters of the function are adjusted by a parameter adjusting means 5 and a retrieval time is estimated from the function for each retrieval, key word by a load prediction means 6. The number of the processors to be allocated to each retrieval key word is calculated from the ratio of the estimated retrieval time by a processor allocation means 7 and the predicted retrieval time of the retrieval key word is compared with a real measured time by a processor allocation verifying means 8. Allocation is changed by interaction with a user by a processor allocation adjusting means 9 and a changed result can be further verified by the processor allocation verifying means 8.
