Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide an article sorting system which automates handling businesses before distribution of articles and can improve distribution operation efficiency by providing the system with a distribution order arraying means for arraying the respective articles in the order of distribution in accordance with the information of a distribution order determining means for determining the distribution order of the articles. CONSTITUTION:The articles, such as paper sheets, are separated by a separating means 6 and thereafter, the information on distribution destinations are read by the codes stated on the articles by a code reading system 11 in the article sorting system. The distribution order is determined by the distribution order determining means 41 in accordance with the information on the distribution destination positions and the information on the distribution destinations of the articles, such as maps, etc., to be managed in a distribution destination information managing means 40. The information on the distribution destination positions and the information on the distribution destinations are collated by a collating means 15. To which positions of the information on the distribution destination positions the distribution destinations correspond is thereby determined. A distribution order assigning means 31 determines the distribution order of the articles in accordance with the results collated by the collating means 15. The articles are arranged and collected in the distribution order in accordance with the information determined by the distribution order assigning means 31. |
