Summary:PURPOSE:To produce the subject new compound useful as a modifying agent for polymeric compound, an antioxidant for rubber, insecticide, ship bottom paint, etc. CONSTITUTION:The compound of the formula (R1R2C=CR3 and R4 to R7 are bonded to benzene ring; R1 to R10 are H or 1-30C aliphatic hydrocarbon; R8 to R10 are free from H), e.g. m-vinylbenzyl tributyltin and m-vinylbenzyl trioctyltin. The compound of the formula can be produced e.g. by reacting a vinylbenzyl halide with magnesium metal in ether and reacting the synthesized vinylbenzylmagnesium halide with an organotin halide such as tributyltin chloride.
