Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce volatility and to improve light resistance by forming a protective layer of a cured UV-curing resin having one or more acryloyl groups and constituent units represented by a specified formula in one molecule on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 is made of polycarbonate resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, etc. A protective layer 5 is formed by curing a UV-curing resin by having one or more acryloyl groups and constituent units represented structural formula I or II in one molecule. Since benzo-triazole groups having UV absorbing ability have been bonded in the UV-curing resin, the objective optical recording medium having low volatility, excellent in light resistance over a long time and also excellent in scratch resistance is obtd. In the formulae I, II, A is direct bond, alkylidene, O, S, etc., X is H, halogen, etc., R is H, alkyl, etc., and (m) is 1-3. |
