PURPOSE:To simplify the transmission job of a document picture by allowing the communication conference equipment to extract automatically a picture other than a designated area and to send the picture to other communication equipment when the user designates an area desired to be hidden in the document picture. CONSTITUTION:The user at a sender side designates a range desired to be hidden in one page as a ciphering area and a document picture is displayed on a display device 101 in this case and a touch panel 102 commands a coordinate position. The communication conference equipment generates picture information of the same size as that of an original from which only picture information of the ciphered area is extracted and exclusive OR arithmetic operation is executed in the unit of picture elements between the generated picture information and the original picture information to generate picture information of one page from which the ciphered area is deleted. Then the communication conference equipment makes a call to a destination by setting the communication destination by the user and operating the communication operation and when the destination replies the call, call connection is executed by a predetermined procedure. Then the generated picture information is sent to the destination.
