Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a synthesizing method for a bromine complexing agent wherein a cost is reduced of an electrolyte used for a zinc-bromine battery and further various operations for obtaining this electrolyte can be simplified. CONSTITUTION:A method for synthesizing a bromine complexing agent in an electrolyte for a zinc-bromine battery provides a method such as obtaining the electrolyte containing N-methyl-N-ehylmorpholinium bromide, produced according to a progress of reaction, as the bromine complexing agent, by performing reaction of N-methyl morpholine and ethyl bromide, which are materials, with ion exchange water serving as a solvent. Ratio of the above N-methyl morpholine to ethyl bromide is set to 1:1.1 mole ratio, and concentration of the N-methyl morpholine is set to 3mol/l or more.
