Summary:PURPOSE:To make a shift operating burden on a driver largely relievable without entailing an increase in manufacturing cost and an enlargement in equipment in regard to a semiautomatic transmission unit being installed in a car and equipped with both manual and automatic shift modes by means of remote control. CONSTITUTION:This transmission unit, installed in a car engine, is provided with a clutch actuator 2A, a transmission gear shifting actuator 3A, a manual- automatic selective operating means 5 for selectively switching a manual shift mode, remotely shifting shift speed is of a transmission manually and with an electric signal, and an automatic shift mode automatically shifting the shift speeds, a shift operating means 4 for a shift command operation, and a control means 11 electrically controlling each actuator according to the setting of these means. In this constitution, it is made so as to be settable to the automatic shift mode only at a time when a car speed is more than the specified value and the shift speed is a high-speed one.
