Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a sample capable of depositing all in a deposition layer with a specified density and the method of depositing by maintaining constant the distance between the uppermost face of deposited particles and a discharge port at the time of carrying out banking. CONSTITUTION:A hopper type container 2 of which upper part is open and lower part has a nozzle-like discharge port 1 is suspended resiliently by means of a coil spring 3, and a mold 4 is arranged below it. Sand is charged into the container 2 and suspended by means of coil spring 3 at a specified height from the bottom of the mold 4. The sand is dropped from the port 1 to measure the density of deposited sand. By the use of this sample, i.e., sand, the permeability of grout into earth or compression strength of consolidated body is compared comparatively. Upon civil work or building construction, when soil is supplied to specified ground or building body, the distance between the uppermost surface of soil particles and discharge port is maintained constant, and the distance between a hopper and the deposited surface. It is thus possible to provide a deposited layer with constant density.
