Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the subject paper excellent in safety to human body, useful as woodfree paper, printing paper such as coated paper, pressure-sensitive paper, etc., obtainable from specific bleached pulp as feedstock. CONSTITUTION:The objective paper can be obtained by using, as feedstock, bleached pulp <=1000ppm in TOX (total organic halide) produced by reducing the amount of chlorine to be added during bleaching process through raising the degree of digestion in digesting step or carrying out an oxygen bleaching.
