Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the delayed fracture properties, particularly, as for the spot weld zone in steel rod while the relaxation properties and mechanical properties similar to those of the conventional one are maintained as for the base metal. CONSTITUTION:This PC steel rod is constituted of a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.2 to 0.6% C, 0.2 to 2.0% Si, 0.2 to 2.0% Mn, <=0.020% P, <=0.015% S and 0.25 to 0.8% Ni, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The PC steel rod sufficiently usable even in an environment having a fear of the generation of delayed fracture can be obtd.
