Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of an insulating layer caused by water by providing a water absorbing layer for adsorbing, absorbing and consuming water in a circulating path of a medium. CONSTITUTION:A water absorbing layer 6 is provided at the wall surface of a circulating path of medium 5 such as insulation oil, coolant and insulation gas in such a manner that flow of medium is not prevented. When medium 5 passes these portions, water content included in the medium is adsorbed and absorbed by the water absorbing layer 6 and is also consumed for hydrolysis. As a material constituting the water absorbing layer 6, unwoven cloth of polyamide having the large area per unit volume and polyethylene telephtalete film which easily show hydrolysis, for example, are used. Thereby, deterioration of insulating layer of stator coil 3 resulting from water can be prevented.
