Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a catalytic composition and a fluidized bed catalytic cracking method of heavy oil using the catalytic composition small in acid quantity, easy to optimally control strong acid quantity, small in coke deposition at the time of using and prolonged in the life of the catalyst in the catalytic composition for fluidized bed catalytic cracking of heavy oil. CONSTITUTION:The catalytic composition for fluidized bed catalytic cracking of heavy oil containing silica-magnesia having a structure made by depositing silica on the surface of magnesia to be a core to combine as a catalytic component is provided. The fluidized bed catalytic cracking method of heavy oil characterized by subjecting the heavy oil to fluidized bed catalytic cracking in the presence of the catalytic composition under 0.6-3.5 weight ratio of silica- magnesia of the silica-magnesia in the catalytic composition at 470-550 deg.C is obtained.
