Summary:PURPOSE:To develop a method for ideally imparting a long image pattern transferring capacity, which has not been provided conventionally, to a transfer by using printing rolls of a versatile diameter in a system for applying a hot melt adhesive coating material in a pattern by printing rolls. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that a unit area corresponding to a complete pictorial pattern related to a long pattern transferring capacity is divided into two or more parts in a longitudinal direction, a hot melt adhesive coating material is applied to a transfer sheet (a) in a pattern by a plularity of printing rolls 2 corresponding to the divided image parts in number. The sheet (a) is fed forward while the respective rolls are separated from the sheet for a predetermined time in a predetermind order and the printing rolls 2 are again abutted on the sheet (a), whereby the printing pattern of each unit area is expressed by accumulatively applying printing patterns by using the two or more printing rolls 2. Alternatively, the printing pattern of each unit area is expressed by scatteringly applying printing patterns by using the printing rolls 2 individually, or by accumulatively applying printing patterns by using the group of the printing rolls 2.
