Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance pressure utilization efficiency in the delivery of ink droplet by restarining escape of pressure to the ink reservoir side at the time of generating bubble while enhancing the driving frequency through shortening of ink refill time. CONSTITUTION:A channel groove 22 is communicated through a bypass pit 14 with an ink reservoir 23. The bypass pit 14 is provided with irregularities and shaped such that the resistance against rightward movement of ink is higher than the resistance against leftward movement. This constitution provides an ink jet recording head with a function for restraining movement of ink from the channel groove 22 to the ink reservoir 23 without retarding movement of ink from the ink reservoir 23 to the channel groove 22.
