Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide an optical recording medium having such a structure that a spot of laser light can be made small in the medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk 1 is composed essentially of a reflecting film 2 of Al, etc., with information recorded in the form of concentric circles or in a spiral form, a substrate 3, a protective film 4 for protecting the reflecting film 2 from oxidation and a light transmissivity varying film 5 which absorbs light from a laser light source and lowers its light transmissivity by a temp. change such as a temp. rise due to light absorption. Since the light transmissivity varying film 5 is formed in the optical disk 1, the diameter of a spot of laser light made incident on the light incident face 9 can be practically reduced by a super-resolution effect when the information recording face 7 is irradiated with the spot. |
