Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor reproducing image that can be prepared with a laser beam of one kind of wavelength in one step without generating color slippage or distortion when it is observed. CONSTITUTION:A device to produce a multicolor holographic stereogram of one step type is constituted so that the arranging position of a unidirectional diffusion plate 11 or a diffusion plate is controlled so as to correct the change of a reproducing position due to difference between recording wavelength and reproducing wavelength when a hologram is recorded by projecting light from an original image on the unidirectional diffusion plate 11 or the diffusion plate and making the light incident on a photosensitive body 13 as material light, and the position in the depth direction of a two-dimensional image is corrected in advance by changing position distance between the unidirectional diffusion plate 11 or the diffusion plate and the photosensitive body 13 in recording when the hologram is recorded, and the reproducing images with respective wavelength can be superimposed in reproduction.
