Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the material for a welded can excellent in high speed seam weldability corrosion resistance, heat resistance and the adhesivity of coating material. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a steel sheet, an Ni plating layer of 2 to 2500mg/m per side is applied and further on its surface, a plating layer in which Sn plated grains of 10 to 2800mg/m coating weight and 0.1 to 12mum grain size are uniformly distributed by 0.2 to 90% area occupy ratio is formed, and furthermore, on its surface, a chromate film of 1 to 50mg/m expressed in terms of chromium is formed. In this way, the stock for a welded can excellent in high speed seam weldability corrosion resistance, heat resistance and the adhesivity of coating material can be obtd.
