PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, comprising an aqueous solution, etc., of glucides, a reactional catalyst, expanded graphite and an isocyanate compound, having high flame retardancy and useful as an external wall material for dwelling houses, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises an aqueous solution and/or a slurry of glucides with >=20wt.% moisture content, a reactional catalyst (e.g. triethanolamine), expanded graphite, an isocyanate compound (e.g. phenyl isocyanate) and, as necessary, a foam stabilizer, a flame retardant and a foaming agent. Furthermore, the expanded graphite is added in an amount of especially preferably 0.5-6 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. aqueous solution and/or slurry of the glucides.
