Summary:PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a soft tissue around a nail by providing a nail clipper with a blade means consisting of a rod having a helical groove on the circumferential surface in which the hole of a circular section is penetrated, and that the blade means is rotatable in the hole of a tubular casing having a slot-shaped opening in a size capable of inserting the edge portion of a nail. CONSTITUTION: A nail clipper 1 includes a hole 11 having a circular cross-section penetrated into a tubular casing 10 in the axial direction. A slot-shaped opening 12 is provided on a straight line toward the axial direction in the wall of the casing 10, and the size of the slot-shaped opening 12 is a size for inserting the edge of the human's nail. The opening 12 provides a sharpened edge 13 in the longitudinal direction, and a wall 14 demarcated by the edge provides a vertical edge against the line of connecting the opposed edge in the longitudinal direction of the inside of the slot 12. The blade means including a rod 15 having a helical groove 16 separated by three equal angles and a base portion 17 between them is rotatably provided in the hole 11, and pivoted to the bushs 18, 19 of the opposed end portion of the casing 10.
