Summary:PURPOSE:To measure the oxygen saturation degree in the blood with high precision without being influenced by a variety of variation causes of the reflection light intensity in the blood by irradiating the light having different wave length into the blood and sampling the reflection light intensity of the light having the second wave length in the first cycle. CONSTITUTION:A probe 11 is inserted into a lung vein, and measures the oxygen saturation degree in the blood continuously. The probe 11 and a body are connected through an optical cable 28. At a part 16 where a light-electricity conversion part and a preamplifier are formed integrally, the reflection light supplied from the probe 11 is inputted, and an electric signal corresponding to the intensity of the input light is outputted. The light absorption characteristic of the hemoglobin which does not bond with oxygen is shown by 301, and the light absorption characteristic of the hemoglobin boded with oxygen is shown by 302. Accordingly, these two kinds of wave length light are irradiated into the blood, and the reflection light is detected, and the ratio is obtained, and the oxygen saturation degree in the blood can be obtained.
