Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an operating device for an elevator by which the reduction of the operation efficiency of the elevator can be prevented when the hall call is incorrectly operated by a same passenger. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a same passenger double call registration detecting means 8 which detects if hall calls for the upward and downward directions are made by a same passenger when they are registered on a same floor, on the basis of the result of the judgement of an individual recognizing device 7 which is installed at an elevator hall and discriminates the passenger at the hall and the input of the registration signal by a hall call registering means 2, and a double call compulsory allotting means 9 which compulsorily allots the double hall calls for the upward and downward directions to the same cage on the basis of the result of the detection by the same passenger double call registration detecting means 8. When the same passenger registers double hall calls for the upward and downward directions on the same floor, both the hall calls are compulsorily allotted to one cage.
