Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of temp. variations caused by opening and closing a door in a storage chamber of an indirect cooling type low temp. storage. CONSTITUTION:An inner case is provided within a heat insulating outer case 2 with a predetermined space defined therebetween to form a storage chamber 10. A cooling device is provided in this space to circulate cold air. An opening 4 is formed in the outer case 2 to take in and out articles. A door is installed in this opening 4 in such a manner as to permit its free opening and closing. A discharge opening 23 and a suction opening 26 are formed opposite each other on the side of the storage chamber 10 of the opening 4. Dampers 31 and 32 are provided to simultaneously open and close the discharge opening 23 and the suction opening 26, respectively. A jet of air is delivered from the aforesaid space through the discharge opening 23 down into the suction opening 26 and air feeding devices 27 are provided to form an air curtain at the opening 4.
