PURPOSE:To provide a propeller shaft which gives no obstacle to a center bearing part, the most of which can be manufactured from aluminium. CONSTITUTION:In a propeller shaft for connecting the transmission side T and the differential gear side D to each other, a first propeller shaft 1 connected to the transmission side T and a second propeller shaft connected to the differential gear side are formed with an aluminium material, the end of the second propeller shaft is connected to a steel center bearing part 2 through a universal joint 6, serration grooves 12, 13 are formed on the surfaces of the joint end areas 11, 12 of the center bearing part 2 and the first propeller shaft 1 to join both joint end areas 11, 12 to each other, and the outer peripheries of both joint end areas 11, 12 are connected to each other by a lock nut 15.
