Summary:PURPOSE:To rapidly and stably manufacture an inside grooved tube having a grooveless part at a specified pitch and at a specified length. CONSTITUTION:When rotation and revolution are given to a tube contracting tool 11 to move a metallic tube 100 in the left direction in the figure the metallic tube 100 is reduced in diameter. In this time, when a grooved plug 12 is pushed into the inside surface of the metallic tube 100 to which tube contracting operation is given by the tube contracting tool 11, may spiral inside grooves 8 are formed by plastic deformation on the inside surface. Then, when a holding die 15 is moved back in the right and left directions, the grooved plug 12 is separated from the tube contracting part and since a grooved inside holding plug 17 enters the tube contracting part, grooves are not formed and a smooth surface remains as it is.
