Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body small in residual stress in a photosensitive layer film, less in the generation of curling of the photosensitive body or the stripping of the photosensitive layer and high in electrostatical durability by containing a biphenyl derivative and a hydroquinone derivative in the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The hydroquinone derivative is added into the photosensitive layer containing the biphenyl derivative, Biphenyl, m-terphenyl, sigma-terphenyl or the like is exemplified as the biphenyl derivative to be used. Hydroquinone, methyl hydroquinone or the like is exemplified as the hydroquinone derivative to be used and the hydroquinone derivative expressed by formula is preferably used because of the derivatives are excellent in compatibility in the photosensitive layer and are stably held in the photosensitive layer at the time of drying and preserving the photosensitive body. In the formula, each of R1 to R4 is hydrogen, halogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, and at least one of R1 to R4 is a group having >=4C total carbon atom.
