CONSTITUTION:This method for treatment of the org. quaternary ammonium hydroxide-contg. waste liquid consists in separating and removing peeled resists and surfactants, etc., by bringing the above-mentioned waste liquid into contact with a cation exchanger to make the org. quaternary ammonium ions adsorbed on the cation exchanger and to remove these ions, or at need, by retreating the cation exchange treated water obtd. by bringing the waste liquid into contact with the cation exchanger at the time of treating the waste liquid contg. at least the org. quaternary ammonium hydroxide.
