PURPOSE:To carry out the transport work such as receiving and delivery at the mounting/demounting position to each prescribed device arranged in a reverse rolling installation of a cylindrical body which is generated or used in the reverse rolling or at a special position such as storage place, etc., for the cylindrical body, speedily and automatically without requiring the manpower. CONSTITUTION:A holding device 3 for holding a cylindrical body 9 is installed at the lower edge of an elevator device 2 which is installed in a free elevation state in the vertical direction on a traveling device 1 which travels on a frame board 5 which is laid at a prescribed height nearly in parallel to a reverse press rolling installation line. A stop mechanism which control-stops the devices 1 and 2 at the stop position such as each mounting/demounting position of the cylindrical body 9 to a combined paper taking-up/out machine 7 and a winder 8 for a trash metal strip coil is provided, and a holding member transfer mechanism for shifting the holding member for holding the peripheral surface of the cylindrocal body 9 by the holding device 3 in the horizontal direction and a holding member position correcting mechanism for the disposal of the deflection it the axial direction of the cylindrical body 9 held on the member are provided.
