Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an optical head device with a small number of components and manufactured comparatively inexpensively. CONSTITUTION:A beam splitter 120 is mounted on a beam splitter board 128. The beam splitter board 128 is arranged in a state where the plane of the board is abutted with the plane of an optical component board 126, and it is fixed with a screw on the optical component board 126. The planes 126a, 126b of the optical component board 126 are set so as to be in parallel with a direction desired to move the beam splitter 120. The adjustment of the position of the beam splitter 120 is performed by inserting a jig to an adjusting hole 130 provided at the beam splitter board 128 in a state where the screw is untightened, and moving the beam splitter board 128 as keeping a state where the plane of the beam splitter 128 is abutted with the planes 126a, 126b of the optical component board 126. After the beam splitter 120 is arranged at a desired position, the position is fixed by tightening the screw, then, the adjustment is completed.
