PURPOSE:To obtain synthetic fiber yarn having fine unevenness on the surface with excellent dark coloring effect by treating a synthetic yarn mixed with fine particles on the surface layer part with a specified amount of electric discharge energy. CONSTITUTION:Polyester core-sheath conjugate fiber yarn mixed with 0.05-5wt.% fine particles of such as titanium oxide or collagen having 1mum or larger diameter in the sheath part is subjected to corona discharge treatment in 10 to 10 joule/m discharge energy amount under normal pressure in the atmosphere to form numerous fine uneven parts on the surface of the yarn.
