Summary: | PURPOSE:To develop a blank for welded can having excellent high speed seam- weldability, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and coating adhesion by forming Ni plating layer on the surface of a steel sheet and further, forming an Sn plating layer with SN grains spotted and chromate film on this surface. CONSTITUTION:After activating and cleaning the surface of the cold-rolled and annealed steel sheet by pre-treatment of alkali electrolytic degreasing, electrolytic pickling, etc., the electric plating of Ni is executed at 2-150mg/m of the steel sheet. Further, on this surface, the Sn plating in which the Sn grain having 0.2-12.0mum grain diameter is spotted is applied at the ratio of 10-2800mg/m and finally, on this surface, the chromate film having 1-50mg/m expressed in terms of Cr is formed. The steel sheet having excellent high speed sea-weldability, corrosion resistance and coating adhesion as the blank for welded can and which can be baked at a high temp. in a short time and having <=0.20mm thickness is obtd. |
