Summary:PURPOSE:To easily teach the moving locus of a robot for moving a welding torch for a welding robot for performing arc welding without directly observing a part to be welded by an operator. CONSTITUTION:The welding torch and a teaching jig 31 are made freely attachable/detachable, respectively to the welding robot for performing arc welding. This teaching jig 31 is provided with a distance measuring instrument 33, a three-dimensional angle measuring instrument 41 and a television image pickup device 42 and at the time of performing teaching work, the operator can perform teaching while observing the data of a distance and inclination displayed on a display part. In addition, when a contact member for coming into contact with the part to be welded is provided on the teaching jig, since whether or not the contact member comes into contact with the part to be welded is displayed on the display part, the data of the inclination of the jig is confirmed and teaching work can be performed while observing the display part.
