Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a printing device which does not require the exchange between a one time ink ribbon and multi-pass ink ribbon, and can select the application of both ribbons in response to the request of a user. CONSTITUTION:A first recording part 3 which contains a multi-pass ink ribbon 26 and a second recording part 4 which contains a one time ink ribbon 39 80 provided in a device case 1, and these recording parts 3, 4 are alternatively selected based on the driving of a solenoid for separation. At the same time, it is constituted in such a manner that a recording paper P is fed to the selected recording part 3 or 4. As the result, it is not necessary to exchange the multi- pass ink ribbon 26 and one time ink ribbon 39.
