Summary:PURPOSE:To maintain the consistency of the storage data such as the storage data, main memory, and extended memory of a cache memory incorporated in a CPU when one part of the address pin of the CPU is not used. CONSTITUTION:A portable computer is provided with memory 19-22 with the capacity capable of the access from the (n)-bit address data ((n) is a positive integer), a cache memory, and a cache controller and a one-chip CPU 10 capable of processing (m)-bit address data ((m) is an integer greater than (n)) is provided. The host (m-n)-bit address pin without using of the address pins of the CPU 10 is fixed to the logic '0', and preventing an address not existing in the cache memory from being supplied.
