Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic induction type rotation detector in which a terminal is arranged on the side of a permanent magnet while allowing the arrangement of the permanent magnet and a core coaxially without increasing a sectional area of a case housing the permanent magnet or the like. CONSTITUTION:Cylinder parts 5a and 5b of a bobbin 5 house a core 2 while being wound with a coil 4. A permanent magnet 3 is formed in the shape of a column having at least two cut parts axially while a hollow part of the cylinder part 5c of the bobbin 5 is formed with the cross section almost the same as that of the permanent magnet 3 to house at least a part of the permanent magnet 3. The bobbin 5 is housed containing the coil 4 or the like in a case 8 of the cylinder with the cross section thereof almost the same as that of the coil 4. Thus, a gap can be formed between an external side of a part contacting the cut parts of the permanent magnet 3 of the cylinder part 5c and an internal side of the case 8 and a terminal 17 is housed into the gap to be fixed on the cylinder part 5c.
