CONSTITUTION:In a paper stopper sensor 202 constituted of a light transmission type sensor wherein a base part 202c having a light emitting element 202a and a photodetector 202b arranged thereto in opposed relationship is formed into a horizontal U-shape, the horizontal U-shaped base part 202c is arranged in opposed relation to the end part of the insertion route of printing paper and the positioning of the printing paper and the detection of the presence thereof are performed by one paper stopper sensor 202.
