PURPOSE:To provide a method to reduce the occurrence of offset of a feed hot water temperature and a differential (a fluctuation in a hot water temperature) according to a us water quantity and a set feed hot water temperature. CONSTITUTION:In relation to a feed hot water temperature TH increasing across a feed hot water set temperature TS, a combustion mode is switched, in order, from the continuous combustion state of burner combustion to a combustion stop state through a plurality of kinds of ON-OFF combustion states different in a feed power. In relation to a feed hot water temperature decreasing across a feed hot water set temperature TS, the combustion modes are switched in a reverse order. In the case of an inflow water flow rate being high, a total of the switching temperatures of the combustion modes responding to the feed hot water set temperature TS is relatively shifted to the high temperature side. Simultaneously, an ON-OFF period of combustion 18 relatively lengthened, and meanwhile, in the case of an inflow water flow rate being low, the ON-Off period is reversed to the above.
