Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the title monoclonal antibody for analysis of activating mechanism of cells of immune system, in its tern, applicable to development of medicines, specifically reacting vitronectin receptor beta chain of lymphocyte surface molecule of mouse and rat. CONSTITUTION:A rodent is immunized and sensitized against mouse vitronectin receptor beta chain and a spleen is extracted from the rodent to form a suspension of splenocyte. The suspension of splenocyte is mixed with a myeloma cell in the presence of a fusion promoter, both the cells are fused, the fused cell is diluted with a medium not supporting an nonfused myeloma cell and cultured. A supernatant liquid in each well containing a hybridoma is measured in terms of existence of desired antibody, a hybridoma of forming a desired antibody is selected, divided into a clone, the antibody is recovered from the supernatant liquid of the clone to give the objective monoclonal antibody to specifically react vitronectin receptor beta chain of lymphocyte surface molecule of mouse and rat.
