Summary: | PURPOSE:To industrially advantageously produce the subject enzymolytic and hydrolytic new optically active polymer by ring-opening copolymerization between epsilon-caprolactone and an optically active 7-substituted-1,4-dioxepan-5-one. CONSTITUTION:Ring-opening copolymerization between epsilon-caprolactone and a compound of formula I (R is 1-5C alkyl) is carried out in the presence of one or more kinds of catalysts selected from (A) an organoaluminum (preferably trialkylaluminum, etc.) and water, (B) an organotin compound (preferably dialkyltin oxide, etc.) and (C) an organolanthanoid compound [complex of formula II (R1 and R2 are H or methyl; Ln is Sc, Y, La, Pr, etc.)] to obtain the objective polymer of formula III ((m) and (n) are natural number). |
