Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent a door from being opened/closed uselessly as well as to eliminate uneasiness on the part of passengers by constituting starting time for closing the cage door to be set by 5 designation floor button within an elevator cage, and also set in response to the degree of congestion within the cage. CONSTITUTION:A passenger P1 rides in an empty cage CAR at the first floor first, and he registers a designation floor button bound for the third floor. Following which, a number of passengers ride in the cage at the elevator hall of the second floor (a cage full condition is detected by a cage indoor load detection means WD), if the passenger P1 from the first floor moves to the inner part of the cage, and when he wants to get off the cage at the third floor, he has to push his way through a number of passengers having ridden in at the second floor to get off the cage, it thereby takes much more time than it usually does. Starting time for closing a door is therefore delayed even if a few passengers gets off. When the passenger P1 does not move to the inner part at the second floor, the passenger P1 does not move so much within the cage, load fluctuation detected by the load detection means WD thereby becomes small. In this case, delay in starting time for closing the door is suspended, so that the door is then closed.
