Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a roll paper mounting mechanism wherein a paper tube of various internal diameters can be held further with good operability at the time of changing roll paper. CONSTITUTION:A roll paper holder can be matched with a paper tube of various internal diameters by mutually slide-moving contact members A3, B4, brought into contact with the paper tube in a symmetrical position relating to a shaft 1, to extend and contract in a diametric direction of a shaft 1. Further by making contact with the paper tube through leaf springs 5, the roll paper holder can stably hold roll paper, and by providing an equal slide-moving amount of the contact members A3, B4 by connecting rack gear part 6 therebetween through a single gear 7, when the roll paper holder is matched with an internal diameter of the roll paper tube, a rotary shaft of the roll paper can be easily coaxially placed with the axis of the roll paper holder shaft.
