PURPOSE:To provide the coiling device which can coil a wire rod so that its tail end runs along a coil. CONSTITUTION:In the coiling device for aligning and multilayer-coiling a wire rod (m) to a coiling reel 1 like a coil, this device is provided with a tensioner 10 in which a tension roller 12 for giving tension to the wire rod (m) coiled to the coiling reel 1 is attached to the tip, a bending roller unit 20 consisting of two pieces of bending rollers 21, 22 provided in a position in which said tension roller 12 is pressed against, in the vicinity of the peripheral surface of the coiling reel 1, and an air cylinder 13 for driving the tension roller 12 to a tension giving position for giving prescribed tension to the wire rod which is being coiled, and a bending position for pressing it against said bending roller, and by driving the tension roller 12 to the bending position immediately before coiling the tail end of the wire rod, he tail end of the wire rod (m) is bent to a shape for running along an external form of the coil.
