Summary:PURPOSE:To prepare the subject compsn. which is taken into a plant cell and induces physiological activities based on activation of DNA and RNA by compounding low-mol.-wt. chitosan and a calcium-contg. inorg. substance. CONSTITUTION:100 pts. calcium-contg. inorg. substance (e.g. calcite calcium carbonate having a mean particle diameter of 5mum and a purity of 99. 9%) is compounded with 0.1-50 pts. low-mol.-wt. chitooligosaccharide and chitosan having a mol.wt. of 500-30, 000 and at least one molecule of 2,5-anhydromannose at the molecular end, 10-100 pts. at least one water-sol. crystalline org. acid (e. g. DL-aspartic acid), 0. 1-10 pts. aluminum-contg. inorg. substance (e.g. bentonite), and, if necessary, other ingredients such as excipient, binder, disintegrating agent, or lubricant to give a mixture, which is tableted by a dry granule compression method or a direct powder compression method.
