Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polyolefin having improved adhesivity, printability, etc., without forming polymer by-product by reacting a compound having a high-polarity functional group to a crystalline unsaturated copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of an '-olefin and a specific nonconjugated chain diene. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyolefin exhibiting improved compatibility in polymer blending is produced by reacting (A) a crystalline unsaturated copolymer produced by the copolymerization of (i) 50-99.95mol% of a 2-12C '-olefin and (ii) 0.05-50mol% of a nonconjugated chain diene of formula I (n is 1-10; R to R are H or <=8C alkyl) such as 2-methyl-1,4-pentadiene with (B) a compound of formula II (X is hydroxy, mercapto, amino, halogen or nitro; R is 1-10C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group; p and q are 1-3) such as 2- hydroxypropionic acid. |
