Summary:PURPOSE:To confirm the sheet size, the sheet conveying condition, the sheet jamming position, and the like, by an operator by observing the sheets directly with his eyes. CONSTITUTION:Between guides 24 and 25 of a sheet feeding cassette 20, a longitudinal passage 26 of sheets S is formed. At the inner part of the longitudinal passage 26, a sheet positioning member 27 is provided. These sheet guides 24 and 25, and the sheet positioning member 27 are formed transparent. And the sheets S passing through the longitudinal passage 26 is made visible from the outside through the sheet guide 24 at the near side when the sheets are conveyed. And when the sheets are not conveyed, the sheets S loaded in the sheet feeding cassette 20 are made visible from the outside through the guides 24 and 25, and the sheet positioning member 27.
