Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an antimicrobial and antifungal fragrance emitting tool maintaining a large amount of an antimicrobial and antifungal fragrance component in a holding medium, suppressing volatilization in an early stage, excellently and inexpensively exhibiting antimicrobial and antifungal effects and aromatic effects for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:An antimicrobial and antifungal fragrance component comprising one or plural kinds of monoterpenes, such as alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, camphene, limonene, alpha-terpinoel, borneol or dipentene, and sesquiterpenoides and hinokithiol in a state of a stock solution or dissolved and diluted with a solvent such as ethyl alcohol or diethyl phthalate or a metal complex of hinoki oil (purified oil of white cedar in Aomori Prefecture) or hinokithiol is adsorbed and retained in active carbon fibers to constitute and antimicrobial and antifungal fragrance emitting tool 2.
