Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance productivity of a cylindrical nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and an electric charge/discharge cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A band-like separator is superposed on a band-like negative electrode and a band-like positive electrode, respectively. The electrode with the separators are further laminated so as to be wound in a spiral manner. The resultant spiral electrode 15 is housed inside a battery Jar. An inserting side where first faces to the jar in inserting the spiral electrode 15 into the jar is formed on the outer peripheral surface 16 of the spiral electrode 15. A tape 20 for securing the terminal end 17 of the spiral electrode 15, is stuck as a reference to the inserting side. Consequently, the sticking position of the tape 20 is deviated toward the inserting side.
