Summary:PURPOSE:To allow dehydration treatment to advance within a short time, to prevent the lowering in drainage capacity while enabling re-use indefinite times, by using a nonwoven fabric, to which embossing processing is applied so as to prevent soil particles from passing through the surface thereof, a vertical drainage promoting material. CONSTITUTION:Vertical drainage promoting materials 3 are vertically arranged so that the lower ends thereof are connected to or contacted with the horizontal drainage promoting material 2 layed to the bottom surface of water-containing sludge dehydration installation 6 and guides moisture in water containing sludge so as to flow the same downwardly. In the dehydration treatment method of water-containing sludge, a nonwoven fabric, to which embossing processing is applied so as to prevent soil particles from passing through the surface thereof, is used as each other the vertical drainage promoting materials 3. As a result, dehydration treatment advances within a short time and the lowering in drainage capacity is prevented and, in addition, because the soil particle layer adhered to the surface of the nonwoven fabric can be easily peeled off after use, the reuse of said nonwoven fabric is enabled indefinite times. Of course, the emboss processed nonwoven fabric may be adapted to the horizontal drainage promoting material.
