Summary:PURPOSE:To enable torque distribution between right and left wheels to be effected without large loss of torque and energy by forming a first and a second transmission torque capacity couplings as an integral coupling and also arranging a differential mechanism, a speed increasing and decreasing mechanism, and the integral coupling on the same axis to downsize it and lighten the weight. CONSTITUTION:A right and left drive force adjusting device for vehicle is provided with an input shaft 1 to which a drive force from an engine is input, a differential mechanism 4, and a drive force transmission control mechanism 5 which can adjust a drive force distribution to right and left wheels. Also the drive force transmission control mechanism 5 comprises a speed increasing and decreasing mechanism 6 in which a speed increasing mechanism 6A is integrated with a speed decreasing mechanism 6B, a first transmission torque capacity variable type coupling 7, and a second transmission torque capacity variable type coupling 8. Then the first and second transmission capacity variable type couplings 7 and 8 are positioned adjacent to each other to form an integral coupling, and the differential mechanism 4, speed increasing and decreasing mechanism 6, and integral coupling are arranged on the same axis.
