Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the unevenness of image density from occurring by making the difference of the sticking amount of toner sticking to the center part and both right and left ends of a developing roller small. CONSTITUTION:A thin layer blade 36 is formed in the shape of a trapezoid having the width of a base end 36a shorter than that of a leading end 36b. By holding the base end 36a by a blade holder 37, the leading end 36b of the blade 36 is pressed on the developing roller 35. Then, sealing members 38 are pressed on both right and left ends 35a of the roller 35 and both right and left ends 36c of the blade 36 so that the member 38 may be superposed thereon to be smaller and smaller as it gets to the base end 36a of the blade 36. Thus, force received by both ends 36c of the blade 36 is made small by the member 38, and the blade 36 is nearly uniformly pressed on the roller 35 so that there is no difference between both ends 36c and the center part.
