Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a carrier for developer for electrophotographic and the production method which forms a high quality image free from sweeping stripes (white stripes image) caused by carrier and is optimal to multiply development. CONSTITUTION:In the carrier for developer for electrophotographic made by dispersing a magnetic powder in a binder resin, the carrier for developer for electrophotographic development does not have a void P having major axis of >=0.6 times as long as the major axis L of the carrier or a hollow particle having such a void and has two or more voids P having major axis of <=0.5 times as long as the major axis of the carrier or hollow particles having such a void. The carrier is formed of a composite particle of a ferromagnetic fine particule and a cured phenol resin or is formed to spherical in shape, and the production method for each of these carriers is provided.
